The famous book “One Thousand and One Nights” comes to life on Broadway with Aladdin, a musical comedy based on the 1992 award-winning Disney animated film.
The musical tells the tale of Aladdin, a resourceful 18-year-old who survives on the streets of Agrabah with his loyal monkey, Abu. Relying on his wits, he navigates a life of stealing and trickery. But his fortune changes when he discovers a magic lamp containing a genie who grants him three wishes. Aladdin uses these wishes to win the heart of Jasmine, the Sultan’s daughter, whom he deeply loves. However, his plans are disrupted when the villainous Jafar steals the lamp, forcing Aladdin to not only save Jasmine but also the entire kingdom.
This enchanting story of love and adventure comes to life in a spectacular dance production featuring stunning visual effects. Directed by the acclaimed producers behind The Lion King and Sister Act, this two-and-a-half-hour musical is a feast for the senses. The New York Times hails Aladdin as a “fabulous musical that exceeds all expectations.”
The historic New Amsterdam Theater, opened in 1903 and nestled in the heart of Times Square, is the current venue of Aladdin. With a seating capacity of 1,801, this iconic venue served as a cinema for many years before undergoing a full renovation in 1997 to host some of Disney's most beloved musicals.
New Amsterdam Theatre allocates the seats at the time of booking on a best-available-seat basis, so we recommend you get them as soon as possible to get good seats!
You can check out the following link for the floor plan of the New Amsterdam Theatre.
Even though there is a show every day of the week, tickets sell out quickly since the musical is so popular. If you visit New York City in summer or during Christmas, we recommend you book your tickets at least two months in advance.
To avoid fraud and to assure smooth entry, it is very important that you provide the email of the main attendee during the booking process.
